Our Story
The plan for this dream started long before we ever purchased property in Oklahoma.
We knew we wanted to build a retreat where guests could escape the busyness of everyday life.
An environment where guests could enjoy the peace, beauty, and simplicity of country life was the goal.
We also wanted a place that would remain a rural retreat for future generations of our family and guests.
Something you just can’t find in cabins in Broken Bow….After settling on the land and cabin in a quiet town named Red Oak, Oklahoma our dream started to unfold.
It was important to us to pay homage to the history of the land and the people who inhabited it over thousands of years past.
French fur-traders used to pass through and trade with the Native Americans in the area. It’s rich with history, wildlife and raw beauty. Therefore, Bison Ridge Resort was born. The newly-renovated cabin offers rustic luxury-style accomodations and is nestled on 17 quiet acres among towering pine trees on a mountainside in the San Bois mountains of Oklahoma.
There is plenty of privacy for guests seeking a peaceful and secluded vacation rental.
The location is perfect. 4 hours to Branson or Dallas Fort Worth, 3 hours to Oklahoma City, 2 hours to Tulsa.
Bison Ridge Resort is a short drive to multiple lakes including Sardis Lake, Lake Eufala, Lake Wister plus scenic drives including Talimena National Scenic Byway,
many state parks including Robber’s Cave State Park, Lake Wister State Park, and more! There are many charming towns nearby to explore including Clayton, Talihina, Wilburton to name a few! Additionally, Bison Ridge Resort is a gorgeous setting for special events such as bridal showers, baby showers, engagement parties, adult birthday
celebrations, retirement parties and micro-weddings for up to 30 guests.
